Local law office is looking for qualified and skilled Legal Assistant to join our team. The Legal Assistant is an integral team member for the day-to-day operations of the law firm.
Our nationally recognized, award winning practice represents clients in personal injury, workers' compensation, and product liability cases. We take great pride in tenaciously representing our clients through the most difficult times in their lives.
Job Requirements
Communicating directly with clients, court staff, judges, and attorneys, as well as management team
Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and requesting medical records as directed
Maintaining client records and related case documents in case management system. i.e. Lead Docket, Filevein, Simply Convert
Performing administrative duties as assigned such as maintaining calendar for hearings, critical deadlines, setting client appointments, and managing legal proceedings logistics
Maintaining strong communication with Legal and Intake teams on new leads and case statuses
Attending regular company meetings and required training.
Additional Information
Associate degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience
2+ years paralegal/legal assistant experience
Previous Law office experience desired
Excellent verbal and written communication
Must be able to meet deadlines and anticipated challenges
Must exercise high level of integrity and confidentiality
Strong computer skills
Organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Comfortable in fast-paced work environment
Ability to work well with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
