Patent Attorney (Remote) at Grant Attorneys

The Bare Minimum

• 1+ years of U.S. and international patent preparation and prosecution experience (post-graduate)
• Registration as a patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office
• Barred in at least one US state
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
• Personable
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to manage and maintain large portfolios of cases
• Strong drive and willingness to own projects and see them to completion
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google Workspace
• A quick learner when it comes to software and technology
• An electrical engineering degree is preferred but other degrees would be considered

Primary Responsibilities:

• Patent application preparation and prosecution
• Communicating with clients and foreign agents
• With the assistance of the docketing paralegal, managing and monitoring the docket to ensure all deadlines for assigned matters are timely met
• Conducting research for IP diligence processes for acquisitions and mergers
• Producing high quality written content on various topics in the field of patent law

Salary:
$70k to $100k depending on experience plus participation in the firm's benefits program, which includes paid time off, schedule flexibility, remote or hybrid work, 401(k) plan with employer contribution, a family-friendly atmosphere, as well as health and wellness initiatives.
