What you'll do:

This position will play a critical role in ensuring that the global tax reporting and compliance process at Array is optimally designed and executed. This role will also be involved with strategic modeling of tax law and business changes, including the application of the new Inflation Reduction Act! The Tax Director will provide input and support in developing plans to identify and implement tax strategies to reduce the global ETR.

Tax Accounting:
• Responsible for quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including footnotes, disclosures, permanent/temporary differences, discrete items, rate reconciliation, inventory of deferred assets/liabilities, taxes payable, valuation allowances, FIN48 reserves, tax rates, return-to-provision adjustments, tax provision memos, tax journal entries and coordination with external auditors.
• Collaborate closely with the broader finance organization to ensure tax transactions and changes in tax legislation are accurately documented and accounted for under ASC740
• Lead the interactions with multiple departments to coordinate information needs to prepare the tax provision.
• Develop/enhance the SOX control process and manage the external financial statement audit of the income tax provision and the maintenance of SOX controls
• Drive automation initiatives to increase the efficiency of tax accounting processes and provide support for various company-wide financial systems related projects
• Ensure tax compliance for Federal/State/International quarterly estimated tax payments by calculating accurate taxable income projections. Responsible for coordination of tax provision process for multiple entities/jurisdictions at year-end and identifying/evaluating uncertain tax positions and adjustments to valuation allowances.
• Understand GILTI, FDII, and BEAT calculations and impact to Array's tax provision
• Utilize past performance, business forecasts and tax law to provide forecasts and guidance regarding future effective tax rates and cash taxes.
• Develop & maintain strong financial reporting controls for tax including required technical expertise, reporting systems, and related processes specific to GAAP compliance or SOX 404

Tax Compliance & Controversy:
• Coordinate all aspects of Array's International tax issues such as foreign tax credit, branch and CFC reporting, CbCR, etc.
• Manage completion and filing of the Company's tax returns globally (ie, US federal tax return, state income & franchise tax returns, international income tax returns, permanent establishment returns, VAT filings, Sales & Use Tax filings, GST/HST filings, property tax filings, withholding tax filings, transfer pricing filings, mandatory disclosure filings, etc.).
• Ensure maintenance and compliance of on-going studies (ie, R&D tax credit, section 382 analysis, Nexus studies)
• Design corporate tax calendar and tax packages to efficiently manage deadlines and tax information requests for the company.

Tax Research, Planning, Modeling & Special Projects:
• Lead tax integration activities for the global tax provision and non-US compliance.
• Support VP of Tax with implementation of cross-border and domestic tax planning initiatives and special projects.
• Research and implement tax planning strategies, credit, and incentive opportunities.
• Monitor, assess, evaluate past, present, and future tax law regulations that will impact the Company's position and business decisions.

Qualifications:
• Active CPA, with Bachelor's degree in Accounting are required, Master's degree preferred
• 13+ years of combined public accounting and multinational public company experience
• Significant in-depth of ASC 740 knowledge in a complex public, global organization
• Experience leading the global provision process (end-to-end) is preferred.
• In depth understanding of U.S. tax rules and experience in transfer pricing and other international tax issues
