Job Title: Legal Counsel – Sports Sector
Salary: Up to £70k
Location: Cheshire/Warrington Douglas Scott have been exclusively retained on a really exciting and rare opportunity in the North West. We're working with a team in the sports sector on their search for a new Legal Counsel to join their smalllegal department during this crucial period. The role will be really varied – You'll be covering major sporting events and all the associated legal agreements that come alongside, with suppliers, sponsors, third parties etc... You'll be working with high profile sports personalities on their legal requirements, engaging in media agreements with various global brand names and getting exposure to large scale corporate work, including investments, mergers & acquisitions. The position will see you working closely with the senior legal execs and there is a clear progression path towards General Counsel for the chosen candidate. You'll receive excellent support from the current legal team, working closely with really experienced legal professionals and getting plenty of exposure to the full lifecycle of deals and commercial work within the group. The successful candidate will have the following background:
• 0-5 PQE Solicitor (UK qualified)
• Sports, Transactional Commercial, Corporate, Commercial Litigation, Employment backgrounds considered
• Candidates must be comfortable in a fast paced, agile environment where they will be responsible for rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in to a variety of agreements
