Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly qualified patent prosecution associate to join its growing and dynamic Intellectual Property Practice Group in our Houston office.

Candidates must have 2-6 years of IP experience in drafting and patent prosecution, a mechanical engineering degree (advanced degrees and/or work experience prior to law school strongly preferred), and USPTO membership. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Texas or have the ability to become licensed as soon as possible. Responsibilities include all aspects of global portfolio strategy and management, including obtaining IP rights in the US and abroad. We seek candidates who are driven, possess a desire to develop and invest in their careers and the Firm, desire to work with a national/international client platform, and demonstrate superior client service ability. Candidates must have outstanding written and oral communication skills, excellent academic credentials, and strong organizational and analytical abilities. Knowledge and experience with other forms of intellectual property protection are a plus. This position also offers opportunities to expand into other areas of IP work for the right individuals.
