Job Description

Biospark Intellectual Property Law is a boutique IP law firm whose mission is to provide high-quality patent legal services to our clients through excellent services, constant innovation, and a sense of stewardship.

We are in need of an A-player Executive Assistant to support the managing partner and several firm initiatives. We are also highly attuned to our team’s professional and personal goals, and focus on creating a work environment that is flexible, collegial, and sustainable.

You ideally:
• Are proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful in all that you do
• Provide excellent client service and display a high degree of professionalism and discretion, including by anticipating needs and communicating positively and effectively
• Have a natural curiosity in understanding the business and enjoy formulating solutions and driving initiatives and tasks to completion
• Like wearing many hats to perform a diverse set of administrative and personal assistant tasks and have interest and the ability to process information quickly, learn new skills, and do what is necessary to fully resolve matters
• Have strong proficiency in standard software applications (including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom) and are willing to learn new software applications
• Have strong familiarity with business terminology and procedures and enjoy staying up to date on the latest business practices
• Have an associate’s degree (or equivalent) and 5 – 15 years of relevant and progressively more responsible administrative experience, including providing support at the management level
• Prior experience at a law firm is a plus, including familiarity with law firm processes and legal software applications, but not necessary
• Overall have a strong desire to shape your career as the firm expands and new needs and responsibilities arise – we look forward to discussing and supporting it!

People would describe you as a multi-tasking go-getter who loves building strong relationships with others. You would be working in a supportive, small firm environment that is rapidly expanding. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a better business by working on a wide variety of matters in different operational areas, to have a voice and influence and improve processes, and to be part of a team where you know everyone.

Biospark’s team is mostly virtual and we will entertain resumes from any location in the US. We would anticipate travel for in-person firm meetings to occur twice a year. This role is full-time but we would consider a highly experienced and dedicated part-time candidate who is willing to commit at least 25 flexible working hours per week.

Join our growing practice! Please submit resume, cover letter (including a vision of where you would like to see yourself career-wise in the next 3-5 years), and salary preferences to [email protected]
