Robert Half is working with an established, boutique entertainment transactional firm. The firm is seeking an entertainment attorney to handle transactional matters. This entertainment attorney will handle drafting and negotiating entertainment agreements.

Information about Entertainment Attorney role:

The desired entertainment attorney will review agreements prepared by studios, addressing the comments made by senior attorneys and preparing revisions. Eventually, this entertainment attorney will negotiate and draft agreements on their own. The ability to draft agreements in plain English that can make complex concepts easily understood by creative people is crucial.

The firm stays on the cutting edge of technology, they want somebody tech savvy and capable of working with cloud software.

2+ year associates with transactional background should apply.

Compensation:

The salary range will be between $100,000 to $140,000 depending on experience.

Bonuses are year end discretionary bonuses.

Anthem Blue Shield – employer pays premium, effective immediately upon hire.

Dental coverage provided by employer.

IRA retirement plan effective after 1 year

Paid holidays – Week and a half off between Christmas and New Years, closed Friday or Monday for holidays that fall during weekends, off Wednesday through Friday for Thanksgiving

Vacation/Time off: Vacation week vests after 90 days

Requirements

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, to prioritize client matters and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, including with clients that are not attorneys

- Solid understanding of Transactional Law

- Entertainment sports & leisure law experience preferred

- Licensed attorney with 2+ years of experience

- Must be looking to have a career in the entertainment industry and be willing to take on a degree of ownership to help grow the business. Somebody who wants to build relationships in the entertainment world will thrive.

- Above 3.5 GPA in law school. Undergraduate degree in business or production is a plus. Strong preference for first time bar passers. MUST BE LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN CALIFORNIA.
