Our customer, a Global Financial Services Company, is looking for a Paralegal to work full time, for 6 months. This position required an in-person presence with working hours of 9-5pm Est.

Specifically, you will:
• Review all forms of legal process and other documentation received by the LGU from various sources, both internally and externally.
• Distribute and assign legal documents to the analysts accordingly.
• Create matters in applications and log relevant information for new and existing matters.
• Research levies for existing matters and mail no hits/no funds levy responses back to the issuing agency or firm.
• Draft responses to various levies where there are no accounts and/or balances.
• Manage the LGU hotline and email inbox.
• Review faxes and route to the appropriate LGU Analyst.
• Prepare closed files for warehousing.
• Submit checks to Accounts Receivable for processing.
• Escalate matters as necessary to the Supervisor or Supervising Attorney.
• Work with branch offices on various matters regarding the handling of levies.
• Communicate general information regarding the LGU to agencies and firms.
• Record and archive LGU files and records.
• Update and produce legal resources for the use of the Unit.

Experience:
• Bachelor or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal department is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to interact with Firm clients and the willingness to receive and apply feedback on work product from the Supervisor.
• Computer proficiency including, but not limited to: Windows Microsoft Office, Internet and Website Knowledge and navigation skills.
