Overview

The Legal Spend Analyst (Analyst) will be a core member of Legal Spend Management operations team. The Analyst will maintain a major role in the cleansing and processing of client data, and will assist with a variety of other data processing and client support tasks, such as managing user accounts, trouble-shooting issues, and conducting QA testing and assisting with client projects, analysis and reports.

Responsibilities

Data Operations and Management [40%]

Assist with the onboarding of new clients and implementation of Sky Analytics
Data processing
Data enhancement
Quality assurance testing
Manage and upload ongoing client data submissions
Clean or reformat data submission files
Upload file(s) to Sky Analytics' database using existing tools and workflows
Administer various data upload tasks, including but not limited to:
Running scripts
Troubleshooting issues and error
Conducting data enhancement activities (firm research, timekeeper research, billing code tagging, etc.)
File conversion
Convert sensitive invoice data from PDF (or other file formats) to Excel using existing tools and workflows
Rate Request Processing
Review requests for completeness
Upload rate requests to Sky Analytics' database
Diversity Data Collection
Validate and upload data to Sky Analytics' database
Testing
Assist with the review of new client accounts looking for bugs and data inaccuracies
Assist with business acceptance testing (BAT) of new features and bug fixes deployed to Sky Analytics
Client Project Work [30%]

Assist in the analysis and reporting related to client project work. Examples of the type of tasks may include:
Analyzing survey results
Analyzing data in Excel spreadsheets and preparing charts or graphical representation of the data.
Assist in PowerPoint preparation for client presentations of project results
Assist in the data collection of diversity demographics as it relates to outside counsel. Distribute and track survey or template data received.
Client Support [30%]

Assist with documentation of new workflows, as well as bugs and new features (development)
Escalate client risk issues in order to ensure best possible client experience and retention
Interface with clients as needed and respond to client requests.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

Attention to detail. The work completed by the Legal Spend Analyst is client impacting. Accuracy is important to retain client confidence.
Comfortable working in a cross-functional team or independently with minimal supervision
Understands basic project management approaches and problem solving
Possesses strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of personnel internally
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Excellent Excel skills preferred.
Able to maintain confidentiality and comfortable working with sensitive client data
Bachelors degree or Equivalent
Familiarity with legal industry (preferred)
