Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Provide strategic advice and legal counsel to Walmart U.S., Sam's Club, and Walmart U.S. affiliates on marketing and advertising issues; serve as subject matter expert on marketing and advertising questions, identifying issues and bringing in other Legal stakeholders when needed, particularly on privacy, data protection, technology, and intellectual property issues; and negotiate and draft complex transactional agreements.

You'll make an impact by...
• Negotiating and drafting advertising, promotions, joint marketing, influencer, and sponsorship agreements
• Developing legal strategy and providing advice and counsel to Marketing business partners
• Counseling on day-to-day activities such as sweepstakes, contests, rebates, coupons, gift cards, email marketing, text message marketing, charitable marketing, advertising copy review, claim substantiation, and privacy compliance

You'll sweep us off our feet if...
• You have demonstrated excellence in complex transactional legal work
• You have familiarity with privacy, data protection, and advertising rules and regulations
• You have experience representing advertisers and challengers before the national advertising industry's self-regulatory dispute resolution forum including the NAD, CARU, etc.
• You have experience representing companies during advertising investigations by the Federal Trade Commission
• You have demonstrated ability to move projects forward proactively by gaining support needed from stakeholders across the company and working in a cross-functional role
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills
• You have demonstrated bias towards action and innovation
