Job Duties
• Represent and handle legal matters that pertain to immigration.
• Review immigration applications/packets and make necessary
adjustments.
• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.
• Correspond and/or meet with clients to gather documents and information to guide them
through various visa processes.
• Use case management system/database, various firm systems, and project management skills to monitor case milestones, follow up with clients, and meet both legal and client-
relations deadlines.
• Exercise meticulous attention to detail to produce an error-free form, correspondence, and related legal work products.
• Prepare and represent clients at government interviews; and other tasks as required to meet
client, Managing Attorney, and firm needs.
• Sign immigration forms, prepare and represent clients before government and non-
government entities, especially USCIS.
•Delivering legal advice to customers across family-based immigration and/or employment
-based immigration.
• Assist with case management and resolution of customer complaints, as needed.
Required Skills:
•Demonstrated a high level of rhetorical (persuasive) writing and editing
•Thorough attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
•Analytical mindset with a rigorous approach to evaluating
arguments and evidence
•Flexible and able to quickly adapt to rapid changes in the workplace
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•Strong word processing and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with utilizing technology in your work
• Active Bar license (in good standing)
•At least one year of experience in law
Fluent in Spanish
/Portuguese/English
