Job Description

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks an experienced attorney to join its highly ranked globally recognized Environmental and Climate Change practice group as a non-partnership track attorney based in our Washington, DC. An attorney in this position will be benefits eligible and will generally have an expected billable hour goal of between 1200 – 1800 hours, with the specific expectation aligned with the qualified applicant's career objectives. This is a great opportunity for an experienced attorney to work on high-profile and cutting-edge matters in the context of a reduced workload arrangement. A flexible work location arrangement is possible for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct client contact
  • Assisting with the management of matters and client relationships
  • Mentoring junior attorneys

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Six years of US or international experience with environmental, natural resource, climate change, product stewardship and/or sustainability matters

  • Have experience with those issues in multiple contexts, including compliance counseling, obtaining regulatory authorizations, agency rulemaking, facility and corporate audits, supply chain due diligence, citizen suits, enforcement defense or litigation.

  • Active membership in the DC or bar
