Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldEnvironmental Regulatory LeadAmentum is seeking an Environmental Regulatory Lead to telecommute from home. Travel to client offices and sites as required.Purpose and ScopeThe Environmental Regulatory Lead reports to the Environmental Engineering Manager in the TS Project organization. The position provides technical and programmatic support for projects throughout the Nuclear & Environment Business Unit, and supports business development through proposals and client relationships.Specific roles and responsibilities include:Support Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) projects in identifying and developing compliance approaches with environmental regulatory requirements, including RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Clean Drinking Water Act.Develop and manage the implementation of characterization plans; evaluate characterization data against relevant screening and clean-up criteria; and prepare reports documenting the process and results.Identification and classification of hazardous waste and hazardous contaminated material, and determining appropriate management methods.Interface with clients and regulators.Travel to field sites, client offices, and Amentum locations.Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, geology, chemistry or other relevant field.A minimum of ten (10) years (8 years with relevant graduate degree) working experience demonstrating professional knowledge, thorough understanding, and applied practical experience of federal and state environmental regulations such as RCRA, CERCLA, the Hazardous Materials Conservation Act, the Superfund Amendments & Reauthorization Act (SARA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act.A minimum of three (3) years working experience in remedial oversight activities at HTRW sites, or comparable environmental restoration work.Physical ability to work on hazardous and radiological work sites during characterization and remediation.Ability to complete and maintain relevant training, including HAZWOPER Supervisor.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Must be a US CitizenPreferred Qualifications Professional registration in respective field.Project management level experience in environmental restoration or HTRW work.Experience with USACE or DoD HTRW investigations, studies, designs, and remediation projects, including preparation of relevant project plans.Familiarity with the regulations and remedial technologies for Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) such as PFAS.Familiarity with Hazardous Materials Transportation, including D.O.T. certification.Membership in a professional environmental organization.Preference given to those living in Eastern United States due to location of client / sitesAmentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
