Job Description

The Metro Conflict Defender Office is looking for a Criminal Investigator to assist in the investigation of cases from inception through trial. This position will call for investigative experience, POST certification preferred, but not necessary. Experienced investigating crimes and the ability to talk to people and clients is preferred.

Description of Duties: The Criminal Investigator's duties include interviewing witnesses, client contact in the field and at local jails, knowledge of the community, service of subpoenas, filing of documents, possible testimony in a trial, assisting attorneys in trial, etc.

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND must meet the prerequisites and complete the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program certification OR Two years of experience in law enforcement or related field AND P.O.S.T. certification. Note: Some positions may require incumbent to have a valid Class C driver's license.
