About the Position: The Firm seeks an associate environmental attorney with experience and interest in the range of contaminated property redevelopment issues, including environmental due diligence, negotiating purchase and sale agreements, cleanup plans, development agreements and environmental insurance policies, obtaining Brownfield grants and state tax credits, severed mineral interests, mine reclamation, and professional service and construction contracting. Working directly with partners and clients, you will be uniquely positioned to have a significant impact from day one while also building valuable experience for the long term.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • At least 4 years relevant experience in environmental compliance and cleanup matters

  • Outstanding writing skills, and ability to interact well with clients

  • Strong record of academic excellence and leadership

  • Admission to practice in Colorado

  • Law degree from an accredited law school

  • Excellent judgment and ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • A willingness to accept responsibility and provide high quality legal services

  • Location in or willingness to relocate to Denver

  • A collegial, team-focused approach to the practice of law

  • Real estate, finance, construction contacting and/or land use experience

  • Experience drafting and negotiating project agreements
