Job Description

CRISTAL LAW GROUP is seeking a technologically savvy Part-Time File Clerk to work 25 to 30 hours per week in a paperless law firm. A legal background is a plus but not required.

Duties of this position include:

  • Sorting and labeling digital new file documents to include medical records, correspondence, investigation materials and court pleadings.
  • Sorting and labeling incoming mail.
  • Converting documents from all forms to .pdf format.
  • Organizing Exhibits.
  • Maintaining database.
  • Handling incoming calls.
  • Paralegal and firm administration support.
  • Preparing outgoing correspondence for mailing.
  • Picking up mail from the Post Office.

On the job training will include developing the following skills:

  • Identifying court pleadings.
  • Calendaring events.
  • Communicating with clients, courts and opposing attorneys.
  • Understanding the contents of medical records.
  • Efiling with different courts throughout the State of Florida.
  • Performing back-up paralegal functions.

With a small but busy office comes shared responsibilities and candidate must possess and exhibit during the interview process the skills to include strong communication, use of proper grammar, flexibility, excellent customer service, team-centered mindset, values, drive and strong work ethic.

Regularly used software includes Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office 365 to include Word, Outlook and others as well as Time Matters for case management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • law office: 1 year (Preferred)
