Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an in-house Patent Agent to support Life Science Research and Clinical Diagnostics Technologies. This role is based out of Hercules and is hybrid.
Responsibilities

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the team with the following responsibilities:
• Promote and develop new invention disclosures and make recommendations for patent filings.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Manage outside counsel in the prosecution of patent applications.
• Review, evaluate and advise on IP matters relating to the acquisition of third-party technologies.
• Conduct freedom to operate studies.
• Provide IP training to R&D.

Qualifications
• Registration before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and 5-10 years of patent prosecution experience are required.
• Advanced degree in a life sciences field and prior patent prosecution experience in a law firm or corporation is preferred.

Compensation:The estimated base salary range for this position is $145,400 to $199,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location,experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.

This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Companyperformance.
