The Company Job description Corporate Paralegal As a Corporate Paralegal with Swatch Group, U.S., the position will be responsible for providing direct support to the Legal Department and internal clients on various areas and legal topics. Profile Primary Duties And Responsibilities
• Draft correspondence and standard template agreements under the direction of the attorneys
• Proofread all documents and correspondence for accuracy
• Conducts legal research on new topics and issues of concern; provides summary of results
• Manages the Legal Department's administrative tasks, which include scanning, copying, preparing mailings, ordering office supplies, receiving and dispersing mail, addressing technical issues with IT, filing, answering phones and keeping detailed messages
• Manages the Legal Department's calendar, which includes scheduling calls, meetings, trainings, conferences and department activities for all members of the department while assisting attorneys with managing scheduling conflicts and time management concerns based on priorities
• Manages the Legal Department's filing system to ensure information and documents are correctly filed, stored and deadlines are calendared
• Organize and purge files following completion of projects, as appropriate. Actively contact attorneys to obtain information and guidance regarding materials and information to be included in files
• Maintains organization of the Legal shared folder where all templates and legal files are stored
• Provides support on various ongoing legal and special projects for, and at the direction of the attorneys, ensuring deadlines/objectives are met
• Reviews, tracks and triages Legal Department invoices within 72 hours of receipt for approval and allocation and processes them for payment while maintaining a categorized log of expenses for yearly review. Tracks invoices against planned and estimated budget expenses, considering money saving efforts where possible
Professional Requirements Education and Experience Requirements
• Must have Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a closely related field
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have 2-3 years of corporate paralegal experience
• Paralegal Certification preferred
• Must have knowledge pertaining to all stages of corporate transactions, including the preparation of documents necessary to comply with federal, state and local regulations
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software
• Detail oriented, organized, able to prioritize
