Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
-
Provision of legal advice, support and contracting services to both US and Global teams with a focus on healthcare compliance, commercial contract drafting/review and negotiation
-
Identify, manage and mitigate legal risk and opportunity in business activities within US/Global commercial projects – development of bespoke contracts to support new healthcare/medtech product offerings and services
-
Strategic advice and support to US Recon & Robotics, Sports Medicine, Ambulatory Surgical Systems and ENT teams
-
Advise and support on complex R&D and NPD agreements and collaborations
-
Advise and support on technology agreements (software subscription, service and support, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS agreements, digital and virtual product and service agreements etc.)

Support on complex global goods and services agreements for Marketing, Professional Services, Operations, Direct, Indirect and IT Procurement functions
-
Legal support to functional teams (Finance, HR, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Tax, Corporate, Compliance etc) as required

Supporting on M&A and integrations as required

Providing support for legal strategy, training, contract template development, key projects and initiatives as directed by the Global Commercial Legal team

Such other projects as may be delegated by Senior Director Global Commercial Legal
Required Qualifications/Experience:
-
JD/Bachelor degree from a well-respected institution
-
Licensed with 5+ years of experience in a law firm/in house
-
Life sciences and broad commercial transactional experience preferred
-
Would suit a candidate who is seeking a high degree of responsibility and development of client base/practice
-
Fluent in written and spoken English

Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills for the candidate’s level of experience

Able to work autonomously within the role and operate at a professional level

A keen interest in and ability to understand the business, its strategies, its people and its organisational structures

Ability to work collaboratively with others, both within and outside of Legal team.

Ability to work with and potentially manage paralegal workforce.

Strong time management skills coupled with an ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders

Good IT skills required
