Docketing Administrator
• ** Laboratories is seeking a Docketing Administrator for patent prosecution docketing using the Anaqua software platform. The role can be fully remote. Alternatively, if the candidate is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we request a hybrid role with 1 day/week in either our San Francisco or Sunnyvale offices.
As part of the IP Operations team, you will play a crucial role in the Patents Group to help establish and protect our rights to our innovations. You will handle docketing records and monitor critical due dates to ensure all deadlines are met. You will serve as an internal resource and work cooperatively with a team of in-house attorneys, patent agents, other docketers, legal administrative assistants, and patent paralegals. You must be comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness. You must excel at obtaining and effectively communicating information related to pending patent applications and matters of U.S. and foreign patent law.
Essential Job Functions
Accurately calculate due dates and timely complete all docketing and de-docketing of U.S., EP, PCT, and international deadlines to grow *** s international patent portfolio
Review incoming and outgoing correspondence, extract relevant information, and coordinate disposition
Add remarks from external and internal correspondence to docket actions
Run daily reports of due dates and communicate reminders to internal team
Upload pertinent documents to docketing system
Obtain documents from EPO/USPTO/WIPO
Proofread/double-check patent applications and filings receipts and conduct docketing audits
Handle other administrative responsibilities and additional projects to support global team of patent practitioners, paralegals, and administrative assistants
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education Required
At least 4 years of docketing experience, preferably at a law firm
Experience with Anaqua docketing software strongly preferred
Exhibits professionalism and composure in stressful situations and in meeting short deadlines
Solid knowledge of U.S., EP, PCT, and international patent docketing procedures/rules
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to read, understand, extract, and input information accurately from legal documents
Ability and willingness to learn new software applications
Proven ability to work independently in meeting firm deadlines with precision and accuracy
Strong oral, written, and organizational skills
Team player with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Requirements:
• * The role can be fully remote. Alternatively, if the candidate is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we request a hybrid role with 1 day/week in either our San Francisco or Sunnyvale offices.
• * Max Bill Rate: ***/hr
• * Initial Assignment: 6 months with high possibility of extension depending on performance and team fit
• * Indicate location in the resume. Otherwise, it will be declined. This is a manager requirement.

This is a TEMP role and NOT a temp-to-hire. Make sure this is clear with the candidate. This is one of the questions the manager asks up front - if the candidates are aware that the position is temporary/contract.
Experience with Anaqua is required.
