Vice President and Assistant General Counsel
Bethesda, Maryland Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (“Host” or “the Company”) has exclusively retained Major, Lindsey & Africa to conduct a search for a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel to be located in Bethesda, MD. Overview : The VP, AGC will have a significant focus on complex real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions of real property, real estate financing transactions, joint ventures, and other equity investments, ground leases, zoning, land use, construction and development matters, and hotel management and operating/license agreements. The VP, AGC will also have the ability and willingness to handle a wide range of additional legal matters including disputes, litigation, risk management, compliance, and general contract matters.
Company: Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. is an S&P 500 and Fortune 1000 public company and is the largest lodging real estate investment trust (“REIT”) and one of the largest owners of luxury and upper-upscale hotels. Host was incorporated as a Maryland corporation in 1998 and operates as a self-managed and self-administered REIT.
Experience: At least eight (8) years of post-graduation legal experience, gained both in law firm and corporate settings preferred. Experience in lodging is desired.
Bar: Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
Location: Bethesda, MD.
Relocation: Yes. This is a national search. There is no opportunity for fully remote work; the Company operates on a hybrid schedule.
Compensation: Competitive base, bonus, and equity. Excellent benefits.
