Job Description

Position Summary:

The Legal Assistant shall report to the Executive Assistant in support of the Chief Legal and Financial Officer and assists in the administrative work, handling confidential matters, documents and department paperwork as requested and/or required, phone calls and various other duties as requested.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Legal Assistant shall report to the Executive Assistant in support of the Chief Legal and Financial Officer and assists in the administrative work, handling confidential matters, documents and department paperwork as requested and/or required, phone calls and various other duties as requested
  • Provide assistance to Executive Assistant in support of the Executive Assistant’s various duties
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and version control of documents transmitted between Lachman Consultants and (potential) client companies
  • Exceptional communication skills with (potential) client contacts required
  • Provide assistance to the Executive Assistant in connection with receipt and accounting for deposits, maintain insurance applications and schedules, interact with insurance agent and other matters assigned by the Chief Legal and Financial Officer
  • Provide support in collaboration with the Executive Assistant and/or the Accounting Department in connection with the preparation of proposals and statements of work, including calculation of hours, fees, expenses; coordinate revisions and finalization and related matters; including LES database entries and updates
  • Works on special projects as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Basic Bookkeeping knowledge

  • Good math skills

  • Must use good judgement within generally defined practices and policies

  • Good spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Share Point, Office 365, Dynamics and Outlook

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented with proven organizational skills and eager to learn

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment and strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines

  • Requires flexible, long work hours

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Pharmaceutical or industry related knowledge preferable

  • Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of administrative support experience
