Job Description

We are looking for a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to assist with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution across multiple clients. This position is available at any of our office locations across the country. Qualified remote candidates will also be considered.

Effective August 31, 2021, Quarles & Brady adopted a policy requiring all personnel to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinating filing new applications.
  • Analyzing USPTO and foreign counsel correspondence.
  • Tracking due dates via matter management and docketing systems.
  • Proactively preparing client reporting's and prosecution documents.
  • Communicating with USPTO, attorneys, paralegals, liaisons, foreign associates, staff and clients regarding prosecution matters.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • At least 5-10 years working with intellectual property and patent prosecution.

  • 2+ years of law firm experience.

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification is desirable.

  • Trademark prosecution experience a plus, but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and expertise working with an extensive patent prosecution docket.

  • Exceptional client service focus.

  • A commitment to being part of a great team.

  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize and multi-task to complete projects effectively and efficiently.

  • Outstanding communication (oral & written) and organization skills.
