Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s specialist international employment law practice has an exciting career opportunity for a 2- to 4-year associate in its team in New York.

As an Associate in the Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking legal projects in a team-based environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of employment law advice and counseling experience with either a general practice firm or boutique labor and employment firm; transactional experience in the employment space is a strong plus

  • A demonstrated interest in developing an expertise in international employment law

  • Highly creative problem-solving skills

  • A strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit that demonstrates an interest in contributing to the overall success of the practice and the firm

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues

  • Highly effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated record of successfully managing multiple client relationships, matters and deadlines with minimal to moderate supervision

  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited U.S. law school as well as strong professional references

  • Active and good standing status to practice law in New York

  • Secondary qualification in a jurisdiction outside the U.S.

  • Prior experience with international employment advice and counseling

  • Prior experience with M&A transactions
