Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Labor Associate or Counsel/Senior Counsel with at least 3 years of experience for our Seattle and California (Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Francisco) offices.

Job Responsibilities

  • As an Associate or Counsel in the Labor & Employment Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys. This position can be either remote or housed in one of our West Coast Offices (Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, or Seattle). It requires the ability to travel for work.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 3+ years of traditional labor law experience, working with or without partner oversight on litigation of unfair labor practice charges or grievances in labor arbitration, advising on labor law matters, researching labor law issues, or participating in or advising on collective bargaining

  • Other areas of expected experience: case law research, brief and motion drafting

  • Employment law background and basic familiarity a plus (but not required)

  • Excellent academic credentials and solid work ethic

  • Stellar analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple matters (litigation, charges, bargaining, research, etc.) simultaneously

  • Experience and understanding of federal rules (trial or appellate) and NLRB rules a plus

  • Admission to a state Bar (required); California, Oregon, or Washington Bar admission a plus
