HelloFresh is seeking to hire a proactive, business-oriented, and tech-savvy product/marketing attorney with strong drafting, negotiation, and leadership skills. This role will have primary responsibility for a variety of marketing, product, commercial and tech matters. You will play an important role in shaping policies in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives as we continue to scale our legal team.
You will ...
• Lead the legal team's review and oversight of marketing and advertising initiatives across all channels.
• Lead negations and draft complex marketing, online advertising, mar-tech, SaaS, strategic partnerships and other service level agreements
• Advise senior leadership on marketing and advertising regulations and provide astute risk assessment.
• Own and build process for legal review of marketing materials.
• Advise our brand and growth marketing teams on local and national marketing campaigns, promotions, sweepstakes, etc.
• Collaborate with internal partners and outside counsel to mitigate marketing and advertising risk
• Act as the main point of contact to advise on new product launches and related initiatives.
• Tackle uncharted problems and work with business partners to meet the needs of our fast-paced and innovative product teams.

• A business-minded lawyer, with an ability to translate legal concepts to non-lawyers
• An effective communicator -- verbally and in writing.
• Experienced at advising marketing teams on dynamic and innovative new products.
• Well versed on product development issues, including ad technologies, cookies, trackers, accessibility and more.
• Keenly able to identify and assess risk and provide tailored recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Autonomous and comfortable exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial, resourceful and the type of person that thrives on change and new challengesAt a minimum, you have...
• A J.D. with outstanding academic credentials.
• At least 10+ years of combined experience at a leading law firm and/or an e-commerce, consumer-facing company, strong preference for both in house and law firm experience.
• At least 5-6 years in a product, marketing, media and/or advertising law role.
• Must be admitted, active and in good standing with the New York State Bar, Colorado State Bar or another state bar.
