Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with your assigned business leaders and the legal team to provide legal research and advice, both proactively and reactively, in your specific areas.
  • Recommend and implement best practices and proactive strategies consistent with legal requirements and emerging trends to minimize liability and promote the Company‚Äôs strategic plan.
  • Working with stake holders and collaborating with business leaders will be a daily process as you develop, write, review and revise company policies and procedures.
  • Representing Ashley, you will attend depositions, mediations, conferences, trials and meetings with regulators as necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate from accredited ABA law school, required

  • 10+ years of experience preferably in a multi-state environment and in a related industry

  • License to practice law and in good standing under the Bar of any state that enables admission to practice as in-house counsel in Florida, Required

  • Creativity and resourcefulness ,with a bias toward well-informed action

  • Proven capability of actively participating in and influencing cross-functional teams

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
