Job Description

Regulatory and Litigation Senior Counsel The candidate will assess and respond to complex regulatory inquiries and investigations, shareholder demands, and high-risk litigation involving our products and businesses around the world. Will support other Legal, Product and Engineering teams involved in conducting investigations and responding to data incidents, including developing best practices for conducting investigations, training, tracking and monitoring regulatory inquiries and investigations, and responding to matters involving heightened risk. Work with Product, Engineering and Compliance teams proactively to advise them of regulatory risk.

The candidate should have a JD degree. Must be Admitted to the Bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located. Should have 7 years of litigation and regulatory experience. 15 years of experience with litigation, regulatory and/or corporate investigations, including strategically addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk is preferred. Experience engaging with regulators, including States AG, FTC, DOJ, and global data protection or consumer protection authorities is desired. Privacy, security, and/or consumer protection subject matter expertise and experience with the high-risk incident response is a plus. Experience working with public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees is preferred.
