Job Description

Our company is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Corporate Attorney for part-time work, in good standing with the state bar association, who has a current license to practice law (Preferably in California and/or Florida), and who possesses excellent negotiation, and communication skills and litigation experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
• Protect our firm, our clients, and our directors from legal risks in all business transactions and develop strategies for risk-mitigation
• Structure, negotiate, draft, and review various music, entertainment, intellectual property and content deals, including licensing agreements, distribution agreements, and multiple types of licenses. Draft related approval memos and contract summaries.
• Review employee agreements, and partnership agreements with brands, clients, and other outside companies.
• Review marketing, and promotional materials to determine potential legal issues and assess the possible risks associated with their distribution;
• Identify and analyze potential risks related to platform content and other business activities.
• Conduct legal research and review the company’s litigation strategy pertaining to legal actions
• Maintain knowledge of operations and legal documents
• Perform pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights
• Provide training to the company and its affiliates on substantive legal topics
• Responsible for developing systems and processes to optimize efficiency, identify potential new original IP and related matters, manage copyrights and trademarks, and preserve business records such as minutes of meetings and resolutions, as well as overseeing compliance with corporate governance

Our firm manages well-known content creators and music artists on Youtube, TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify. We also own our own IP's and have partnership deals with creators. We have been in business for 15 years and are expanding quickly.

We are currently looking for someone part-time, with the goal of a full-time position on our executive team. All work can be remote unless there are appearances in court or meetings with clients or team members.

Please provide your requested monthly fee for approximately 40-60 hours per month. We are not interested in an hourly fee basis, since some weeks there may be more work and some weeks there may be less work.

We are looking for someone who is excited about the firm and our expansion and to be part of the team that continues to build our firm.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
