Job Description

Allied World is a global provider of innovative property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance solutions. The company was founded in Bermuda in 2001. We are part of Fairfax Financial and benefit from a worldwide network of affiliated entities that allow us to think and respond in non-traditional ways. 
We seek a Corporate Paralegal to handle a wide range of legal matters on an international basis supporting the Legal & Compliance Department. 



Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assist with legal documents and contracts
  • Assist the corporate attorneys on any legal and compliance matters as may be requested from time to time
  • Assist with corporate secretarial functions for certain entities as needed, including assisting with preparations, minutes, written resolutions and related corporate materials for such meetings
  • Assist with electronic and physical record file management, as well as reference binder maintenance
  • Assist with notarization and apostille processes
  • Conduct legal research
  • Provide administrative support as needed

Requirements / Qualifications

  • College degree or paralegal training or degree

  • Minimum 5 years corporate paralegal experience with a recognized law firm, corporate legal department, other professional services firm or insurance company

  • Notary in New York County or notary registration on file there

  • Excellent communication skills in all media
