• Senior Counsel, Labor and Employment

• Our Legal Team takes responsibility for developing and safeguarding our company's global legal strategy.
• We provide support across all product companies and partner with the business to provide advice, guidance, and action to ensure the success of the future of our businesses.
• Partner with the best
• Lawyers specializing in laws & regulations/policies & practices as it pertains to employees, including in the areas of benefits, compensation, and human rights.
• Lawyers who also specialize and provide guidance and counsel in union negotiations and employee relations matters.
• Expertise within a field comprising of different approaches, methodologies, techniques, and processes.
• Communicates solutions across own Function with impact on other Functions.
• Advising management on due diligence activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and disposition of businesses, as well as on the integration of acquired employees.
• Managing litigation, including handling employment mediations and arbitrations in-house.
• Having a working knowledge of how U.S. laws may impact employee concerns across borders and being able to identify international law issues under multiple jurisdictions in cooperation with legal counterparts in other countries.
• Representing and advising Human Resources and people leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, employee separations, and redundancies, wage & hour compliance, ADA/FMLA issues, military leave law, civil rights laws, unfair employment practices, harassment prevention training, union organizing, collective bargaining, discrimination litigation, and pay equity/transparency laws.
• Partnering with senior HR leadership and HR business partners on proactively developing HR policies, processes, and initiatives that minimize legal risk and help create a positive workplace culture.
• Advising on labor contract negotiations.
• Providing legal support for restructuring activities and plant closings.

• Have 10+ years' experience practicing labor and employment law at a multinational company or law firm.
• Have or be a licensed attorney with the ability to practice law in Texas.
• Have excellent analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Have experience conducting labor and employment-related investigations.
• Have experience managing outside counsel.
• Have experience in resolving international legal issues across borders and multi-jurisdictions.
• Have the ability to be a team player capable of working independently on multiple issues in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an emphasis on overall corporate policies and goals.
