Centro Legal de la Raza
Centro Legal de la Raza is a legal services agency protecting and advancing the rights of low-income, immigrant, Black, and Latinx communities through bilingual legal representation, education, and advocacy. For five decades Centro has protected and advanced the rights of low-income, immigrant, Black and Latinx communities. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Oakland, CA, Centro combines free legal services with know-your-rights education and youth development. Centro ensures access to justice for thousands of individuals each year. Our three legal practice areas include immigrants’ rights, tenants’ rights, and workers’ rights. The Youth Law Academy and the Diversity Legal Pipeline works to inspire the next generation of legal leaders and promote diversity in the field of law.
